The second person had in his possession possible marijuana and a firearm, Texas TV station KSAT reported. Several gaming machines were also seized in the search, according to Texas TV station KTSA.

Initially, no one answered when sheriff’s deputies knocked on the door armed with a search warrant. They later forced open the door and, once inside, they saw some 10 people playing slot machines, KTSA reported. It is unclear if they will be charged.

The charges on the two apprehended suspects were not immediately known.

The gambling operation was the subject of several civilian complaints to the sheriff’s office before deputies sought the search warrant.

The suspect was later identified as Anthony A. Odneal of Riverdale, Ill. He was apprehended and charged with armed robbery taking property by force or threatening use of force.

Odneal appeared in local court before Magistrate Kathleen O’Sullivan last week and was booked at the Lake County Jail. His bond was set at $40K.

Man Allegedly Assaults EMT, Police Officer at Casino

An intoxicated man allegedly resisted arrest in a May 14 incident in the parking lot of the WarHorse Casino in Lincoln, Neb.

The suspect, Zachary Krull, 32, was apprehended and restrained after he allegedly shoved one Lincoln Fire Rescue emergency responder and attempted to punch another one, according to TV station KFOR. Krull then allegedly kicked a police officer in the face and chest as officers tried to place him in a cruiser.

Krull was booked for three counts of assault on an officer/health care professional, as well as resisting arrest, according to Nebraska TV station KOLN.

Canadian Denied His Expected Jackpot

A Canadian man filed a lawsuit after he claimed he was not given a $220,550 jackpot while playing an internet casino game that is registered in Argentina, according to a recent report.

Victor Janicki of Kelowna, British Columbia, a retired attorney, filed the legal action in British Columbia Supreme Court. He claims he made a side bet while playing blackjack on February 23 on BetOnline.ag’s BJ Classic Game, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Janicki was dealt two 7s of diamonds. He became eligible for a jackpot but his screen blackened for several seconds. When it reappeared, Janicki saw two online employees who told him he won a jackpot and congratulated him.

Later, casino staff told him he never won the money. In early April, Janicki was sent a recreation of what happened in the game, though he dispute the casino s version of events.

Janicki filed the legal action in an effort to collect the money. A judge may release a directed verdict in the case sometime next month, the Review-Journal reported.

The news organization could not reach BetOnline.ag for comment on the litigation.
